Well, this week was the first week back to school after Thanksgiving break! Thanksgiving break actually felt slight long to me this year. I always tend to forget that there even IS Thanksgiving break, therefore, even if it was only one day long, it would be longer than I was expecting. Anyways, I came back to normal junior-year life this week.
BUT, this week wasn't entirely normal if you ask me, because it contained my BIRTHDAY! I turned 17 years old on Tuesday, November 30th. It was very joyful. My family and friends even threw me a surprise party at home on Monday!
Monday, I had co-op, which was good. As far as I knew, the plan was for me to leave co-op with Tim, go over to his house for a while, and then go with his family to see Josh's basketball game. We did just that! Josh's team won, too, which was a bonus. It was a great day. I even kept saying throughout the day that it was great. Little did I know, the whole time I was with Tim, my family were in a frenzy getting ready for a party. When Tim's family and I finally got back to my house, everyone said they wanted to see Carson really quick, so they all got out of the car, instead of me just going inside. Thinking back, I guess that was odd, but at the same time, not really. Especially then, when I wan't expecting anything at all. We walked inside my house, and my sweet mama greeted me at the door. She told me to go to the kitchen because she had made some cookies. I headed that way, and as soon as I walked in, lights came on and there were my friends and family waiting on me, yelling "SURPRIIIISE!!" In case you didn't know this, surprises are on the list of my favorite things in life.
That. was. great. I was ridiculously surprised. Haha. I couldn't believe they totally pulled it off! It was a fun party, too- we ate some delicious food, including gluten-free cake and cookies. We also made s'mores out by the fire in our back yard. Gracie, Eli, Scott, Tim, Christian, and even Carson all got in the ffffrrreeezinnngg cold pool. I would have died. Died. The normal human temperature...subtract 20 degrees from that...and that's how I feel. All the time. I'm ALWAYS cold. Anyways. Yes. We also all watched up. It was a very fun and quite shocking party. Thanks everyone! (:
Yes, so Tuesday was my actual birthday, and it was great. I woke up to a room covered in streamers and balloons (thanks Eli) and my family plus Eli all singing Happy Birthday to me! It was so wonderful. I had a busy day, including Chemistry class, a drama rehearsal, a wonderful family dinner at my favorite restaurant, PF Changs, and decorating a Christmas tree with my youth group for a contest. It was a straight up, flat out, good day.
Yesterday was the normal but still awesome Wednesday. (Co-op, hang out with Gracie, Scott and Tim, and then Orbit.) It was great. I love Wednesdays.
I'm hungry and losing focus. Maybe I should stop blogging right now. I'm straight up hungry. Yes I really am.
Ok! Buh-bye now.
