Just Some Thoughts.

Today is nothing but theatre. I'm arriving at the rep at 9:30, and I'm leaving about 12 hours later. Wow. Crazy, huh? It's a good thing I absolutely love being there. Theatre never gets old for me. Today we are going to run through the show a couple of times, and then we will have our final dress rehearsal. The rehearsal will have an audience of more than 160 people, though. I guess that's not much of a "rehearsal", huh? Well, whatever it is, I'm excited. I've got lots of friends coming to see it! So happy.

Last night after rehearsal, Eli came over to spend the night at the last minute, which made me very happy. We laughed a lot last night, for no particular reason. Laughing is just something we do. We are teenage girls who have great lives. What do you expect?

I leave for Jamaica in LESS than 48 hours! Oh my stinkin' goodness. I'm so excited. You've probably already figured out that I won't be blogging while I'm in Jamaica. But I plan on journaling any important things while I'm there, so that I can tell blog readers all about it. I think it will be great- I can't wait to see what God will do. I'm going into the trip with the same mindset I had going into Brookhill- I want to be wide open to anything and everything that God wants to do in and through me. I want this to be a trip that I remember for more than just the culture, or the wierd food...although, trust me, you'll be hearing about that stuff too. I want to remember how God moved while I was there.

Well, I'm going to get ready for another full day of theatre now. Excitement, I tell you!

In the Midst of a Whirlwind

Hello. I've missed blogging over the past couple of weeks- it's just that I literally couldn't find the time to. And I'm still in the middle of the craziness. We are in the last three days of SMTI. Today we are running the show a few times through, which will be quite fun. Same with tomorrow, except our last show tomorrow will have an audience! Lots of my friends will be there- Eli, Gracie, Tim, and Chloe. Hooray! Saturday we do it twice for a packed house. That will be great, of course. Oh, how I love the Rep.

It's 7:29, and I haven't started getting ready yet. I guess I should probably do that. I just felt like I needed to acknowledge my neglected blog. I leave at 6:00 am on Sunday morning for Jamaica! I'll be getting back around 8 or 9 on Saturday night. Wow. I'm so excited about the next week and a half. After Jamaica, I have about 2 weeks of semi-freedom until school starts back up again. Believe it or not, I'm ready for school to start. I wasn't ready for sophomore year to end. Sophomore year was probably my favorite school year ever, mainly because of the people that came into my life, and because our family came to St. Andrew's church during that time. I think junior year will be about as great, because none of that is changing. Of course...I'll be taking chemistry...which could put a damper on things. But I won't think about that right now.

If you are reading this, please keep my aunt Jeanna in your prayers. She is very, very sick in the hospital, and we aren't sure how much longer she will live. Your prayers would mean so much to all of us right now.

Well, I'm going to get ready for a full day of theatre. Fun!

Insane, I tell you!

Hey there! Long time no blog, I know I know. But if you could only understand the extreme, severe business of my life these days...you would get it. I'm in the middle of SMTI right now- let me tell you, the show is going to be so much fun! I'm so excited. OK, I thought I was going to have time to blog, but turns out I have to go now. I'm at Gracies. Yeah. OK.

My life is insane.

Reporting In

So, I've been up to nothing but greatness ever since I came to Nana and Papaw's house on Thursday. They are so wonderful to spend time with- really. I love both of them so much!

Yesterday, Papaw and I started off the morning with a run, which was great. I love running in new places. Then, all three of us headed to Cossatot Falls, a beautiful area with rocks and water and such for a picnic. It was wonderful. Everything was absolutely beautiful. The fact that it was drizzling didn't bother me at all. Rain is a good thing. After we got back home, Nana and I watched The Devil Wears Prada. I had no clue what to expect, but Nana had seen it and said it was good. I actually really liked it! It was hilarious. After that, I headed up to bed. Good day.

Today, after another morning run, Nana and I headed to Hot Springs for a girls' shopping day! So. Fun. It seemed like the entire mall was on sale, which is never a bad thing. I got a bunch of great bargains. We ate lunch in a freezing cold Applebees and headed hack home. Once we got home, Nana, being the photographer that she is, had me get dressed up, and took some pictures of me. haha. It was fun. I was exhausted after that, so I napped for an hour or two. We just got back from eating dinner at Western Sizzlin. You know...Western Sizzlin is straight up good. There's no denying it. It's scrumptious.

Tomorrow, I'm going with Nana and Papaw to their church. I like their church. It's small and very genuine and charming.

AND THEN....

At 3:00 tomorrow, I have my first rehearsal at the Rep for SMTI! YAY! So pumped. I love me some SMTI. I really do.

Aghh, busy, crazy, insane, wonderful summer days.

End of the Calm

Well, my semi-chilled summer is coming to an end. It's about to get insanely crazy. But before I go into that, I shall fill you in on what I've been up to the past couple of days.

Yesterday, I had a picnic lunch with Bliss and Eli, which was wonderful. I hadn't seen Bliss in way too long, and it reminded me how much I've missed her. She's absolutely too sweet. After our Sonic food picnic (I got a chicken wrap...so delicious.), we rented a movie at a Redbox, bought movie snacks, and headed home to watch. And eat. And laugh. Haha. It was a great time. I love those girls. After that, I hung out with mi familia for the rest of the night. It was really great, no joke.

Today, I hung out with Gracie, Scott, and Tim all day. It was quite fun! As always. We went running early this morning, and then headed to Tim's neighborhood pool for a couple of hours. That was fun, playing with a bunch of happy little kids and such. Aghh, good times. We all walked back to Tim's house and watched movies, hung out, went outside, and ate. It was great; we watched The Village and Batman...both good movies, I tell you. Then, we were all off to the church for another Jamaica meeting. I'm going to Jamaica in two in a half weeks!

Tomorrow, I leave for Nana and Papaw's house for three days. So fun. I love spending time with them; they are such wonderful grandparents, and we always have a great time together. No joke. I will get back in town just in time for the first day of SMTI (2 week summer musical theater intensive). So, that will basically have me tied up until that Saturday night. And then...get this. The next morning, Sunday morning, I'm leaving for Jamaica for a week. Craziness. So yes. Basically, starting tomorrow, things are about to get ridiculously busy for me. But all busy with great stuff. I'm blessed.

OK, goodnight all. I'll be blogging throughout this craziness of mine.

Day After Holiday Day.

Hello! It's the Day After The Fourth Of July. Yes, I'm aware that I said that as if it were a holiday. I did that for no particular reason apart from the fact that my brain rarely makes logical sense. Hmmm. This is a proven fact, yes it is.

Today was a very chilled out, slow paced day. I woke up around 9:00 or so. I don't particularly remember, to be honest. I ate one of those pieces of heaven called a Luna bar for breakfast. The s'mores kind. Those are so delicious. For those of you who have not yet tried Luna Bars....do so as soon as physically possible; they will change your life. You will be an overall happier person because of Luna Bars. Yes.

Can you tell that I'm a fan?

Wow. Anyways, as I was saying. This morning, Nana and Papaw came over for a bit, which was lovely. I love those people. They are wonderful. I got ready and we all headed out for lunch at a mexican restaurant. If you know me, you know I'm not much of a mexican food fan. It makes me feel a bit sick. We had a good time, but the food was very mexican and did not fail to sicken me.

After a trip to my aunt and uncle's new house, which was absolutely adorable, I came home and started out on a run. I was running along, rocking out to some Coldplay, when Mom and Mimi pull up, kidnap me, and drive me to the mall.

Ok, it was a bit pleasant. We went to Bath and Body Works and bought some pleasant smelling items. After we had driven back home, I hopped out of the car and finished my run as if the insanity had never occurred in the first place.

Post-run, I was tired. So I flopped around like a noodle for a while, only to be told by my father that it was time to go do some landscaping nearby. So I went, and we pulled leaves and drained water and such. It was earth-shatteringly fabulous. Just kidding. It wasn't bad, though, this is for sure. Then, after a quick RedBox trip, we came back home.

Which brings us to this moment. We are about to have a family movie night. I do believe we are watching "Extraordinary Measures." Nana told us about it; I had never heard of it. I'm quite curious about it, yes I am. I'm sure it will be good, because she was crazy about it!

Ok, movie time!

Life is good.

4th of July.

Happy 4th of July to you! I know mine was happy. We went to church this morning which was fabulous. I worked in the nursery, which was fun. Lots of preschoolers, including Carson. Good times. Then, after church, my family, Eli, and Christian's friend Andrew headed to the lake for the day.

We had a lovely time. Swimming, being in the sun, playing...it was a good summer day. We had a picnic dinner at a playground close-by. Turkey and cheese sandwich with strawberries and pineapple. GOOD STUFF. Then, when we all got home, we watched some fireworks. Carson...he was quite entertained, yes he was. Those were most likely the most intense, terrifying, wonderful few minutes he had ever experienced in his life.

Now I'm hanging out in my room. I love being in my room. I just do.

*Insert Creative Post Title Here*

Hey there! Here is what caylielane has been up to. (I'm in a list-making mindset. Forgive my bluntness.)

Yesterday.
1. Woke up.
2. Hung out with Eli.
3. Went job-hunting with Eli.
4. Came home and chilled.
5. Got ready for the garage sale with Mom and Eli.
6. Went to the first volleyball practice of junior year. Twas quite enjoyable.

Today.
1. Woke up at 6:15.
2. Set up garage sale.
3. Actual occurrence of garage sale.
4. Cleaning up of garage sale.
5. Went on a long, pleasant walk outside.
6. Hung out with Eli.
7. Ate lasagna with Eli.
8. Which brings us to right now.
9. Tonight, Eli and I are heading out to hang out with Gracie, Scott, and Tim... Good times. Everyone shall be in the same city at once! Except that dear Carolyn, whom I miss very much...

Eclipse is out. Don't act like you don't know what Eclipse is.... (even though I do suppose there IS a small chance that you don't. It's a movie.)
however.
I'm proud to say I cannot, by any stretch of the imagination be classified as one of those Twilight series obsessed teenagers. That is just silly.
however.
I shall most likely see this Eclipse movie at some point. Just 'cause. Hahaha.

Ok...well, farewell. I think I might follow Eli's lead and take a nap. She's totally out.
